Work-Life Balance Weekend

Dates: 9 - 11 March 2012

Location: De Vere Barony Castle, Peebles

The weekend is always a fantastic opportunity to blend ‘work’ and ‘life’ while taking part in some training & development designed to add the sparkle back and motivate you. You can relax, learn new skills and meet other businesswomen from across Scotland.

• Would you benefit from focussed training designed specifically to enable you to be a better manager or leader?
• Would you like to receive information which will help you to manage your time efficiently while balancing all the roles that you need to juggle?

This residential training course run by the ASB will provide all of that in a structured but informal setting, giving you the opportunity to meet other people in the same situation as yourself, networking and promoting your organisation too. You will also be encouraged to work within a team, reviewing the skills that you currently possess, and identify objectives for you to take away and work on over the next 6 months.

Objectives & Outcomes

• Identify your leadership/management style & set objectives for personal development
• Look at your time management skills & identify areas you might want to improve

Venue

The venue for this course is the spectacular De Vere Barony Castle by Peebles, about 17 miles south of Edinburgh. Set in 25 idyllic acres of gardens and mature woodland, the castle offers magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and leisure facilities include an indoor pool, mini-gym, spa bath and sauna.

Costs

The cost of this training is £250 for ASB members, and £300 for non-members, and will take place from Friday afternoon (starting at 2pm) to late Sunday morning. Also included in the cost is a one hour follow-up session at the ASB Annual Conference.

A single supplement of £40 will apply for delegates who would prefer not to share a twin room. A day delegate rate of £80 per day is available - this does not include dinner.

Your business may be eligible for part-funding (50%) of this training from Skills Development Scotland under their Flexible Training Opportunities scheme.
